Year of the Rabbit, the acclaimed sitcom starring Silent Witness' Ann Mitchell, is now available on Netflix.
The comedy series, which first aired on Channel 4 in 2019, follows a group of detectives in Victorian era London as they fight crime and rub shoulders against a wide variety of enemies.
The action centres on DI Eli Rabbit (Matt Berry), a "hardened booze-hound" who has seen it all. After suffering ill-health, Eli is forced to work alongside the "hapless" DS Wilber Strauss (Freddie Fox) and Sergeant Mabel Wisbech (Susan Wokoma), his boss' adopted daughter.
Co-starring Mitchell as pub landlady Gwendoline alongside Alun Armstrong and Keeley Hawes, Year of the Rabbit is now available to view on Netflix, with the six-part series being added to the streaming service this weekend.
Despite only lasting for one season, the sitcom proved to be a hit with critics at the time of its airing, with the series currently boasting an impressive approval rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes from 18 reviews.
