Bones, the police procedural crime drama that ran for a 12 seasons and a whopping 246 episodes between 2005 and 2017, is being added to Netflix in the UK and Ireland in just a few days.
The series will drop on the streaming service on Saturday 11 July. As network TV shows from back in the day tend to be, Bones is a bit too long to binge-watch all in one weekend, but it can definitely keep you busy for a long time.
Starring Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel actor David Boreanaz and Devil in Ohio's Emily Deschanel, the show — commonly described as "darkly comic" — follows FBI agent Seeley Booth (played by Boreanaz) as he solves cases with the help of forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (played by Deschanel).

The rest of the ensemble main cast includes Yellowstone's Michaela Conlin, Law & Order: Organized Crime's Tamara Taylor, 24's John Boyd, Last Man Standing's Jonathan Adams, and John Francis Daley, who went on to direct Game Night and Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.
On Rotten Tomatoes, Bones boasts an 89% positive score from critics' reviews across all its seasons. Seasons 2, 6, and 11 have perfect 100% positive scores — although each of those seasons has fewer than 10 reviews tracked by Rotten Tomatoes.

One fan called Bones "familiar, not too challenging mentally or emotionally," and praised Boreanaz and Deschanel as being "really great together".
They added: "Are the cases mindblowing? No, but that's not what I want from network TV or procedurals. I want things I can watch and enjoy without hurting my head and that I can at least figure out every now and then before the show tells me. On this front, Bones is really top notch."
Another viewer said: "Fully developed storylines make this an absorbing show. The actors are all totally competent in bringing life to their characters. Wasn't sure if I was going to get into this at first but it grows on you, and you develop a fondness for all of them in their unique and quirky characteristics."
Bones comes to Netflix on Saturday 11 July and leaves Prime Video on Friday 10 July. It's also available to stream in full on Disney+ and Channel 4.
