Good news for fans of Matt Berry (and, honestly, who isn't?), Year of the Rabbit has officially been renewed for a second series.
The Victorian detective comedy will be back for six more episodes and will see Berry, Freddie Fox and Susan Wokoma return as Inspector Rabbit, Strauss and Mabel respectively.
Channel 4's Head of Comedy, Fiona McDermott, said of the renewal: "Year of the Rabbit is one of the most glorious, gutsy and audacious comedies on TV, made by a fantastic cast and crew who relish every detail. We're thrilled to welcome it back. Here's to more absurd capers in the dark underbelly of Victorian London."

Meanwhile, Berry himself said of the big news: "I'm looking forward to Inspector Rabbit returning back to our screens to fight crime in the past. This time he'll deal with all sorts of unearthly forces, including the Royal Family! Victorian London is presently very much where it's at."
Writers Kevin Cecil and Andy Riley previously told Digital Spy that they plan to bring back Keeley Hawes "at some point in the future", and that they would love to get Flight of the Conchords' Jemaine Clement back, but it all depends on his availability.
If you're an American who has never seen the show before, then don't worry! Series 1 will premiere in the US on Wednesday, February 19, at 10.30pm ET/PT on IFC.
