Bubble & Squeak, the upcoming film starring Himesh Patel and Matt Berry, has unveiled its first images.
The “eccentric” comedy follows a newlywed couple, Declan (Patel) and Dolores (Sarah Goldberg), as they go on the run from Shazbor (Berry), a border agent who suspects them of smuggling cabbages.
The feature, which is Evan Twohy's directorial debut, has now released its first images ahead of its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. The photos show Patel, Berry and Goldberg in character.

In addition to the aforementioned trio, Bubble & Squeak boasts a stacked cast, with Dave Franco and Steven Yeun – who also serves as a producer – having supporting roles.
“Writer-director Evan Twohy’s eccentric debut feature – adapted from his acclaimed comedic play – strands bickering newlyweds Declan and Dolores in a fictional foreign country, doggedly pursued by Shazbor, a ruthless customs enforcer who suspects them of smuggling cabbages,” the description of the film reads.

Though its world premiere has been confirmed for the final week of January and first week of February, there is no word on when Bubble & Squeak will be released theatrically in either the UK or the US.
Patel, who played Tamwar Masood on EastEnders between 2007 and 2016, has had roles in Greedy People, The Assessment and The Franchise in the last year, with the parts coming a year after his appearance in the sixth season of Black Mirror.
There is no release date for Bubble & Squeak.
