Stephen Graham's acclaimed series Adolescence has topped a major Netflix chart a few months after its release.

The four-part drama premiered back in March, drawing huge acclaim from critics while breaking a few records in the process too.

The streaming giant has now unveiled its viewership report of 2025 so far, taking in audiences between January and June, with Adolescence sitting at the top of the chart with over 555 million hours viewed and 144.8 million views.

That's ahead of Harlan Coben series Missing You, which is in fifth place with 218.6 million hours viewed and 58 million views, while Adolescence even beat Squid Game's second and third seasons into second and third place, respectively.

However, the third and final edition of the South Korean thriller was only released at the end of June, so those numbers will no doubt tick up.

British shows such as Black Mirror and Dept Q also fared well with 30.5 million and 25.4 million views, respectively.

Adolescence has been hailed as a "masterpiece" by some, and focuses on a 13-year-old schoolboy called Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper) who is arrested after the murder of a female classmate.

Graham, who co-created the series with Jack Thorne, plays Jamie's dad Eddie, while Ashley Walters portrays DI Luke Bascombe.

Cooper recently made history after earning an Emmy nomination for his performance, becoming the youngest actor ever to be nominated in the Outstanding Supporting actor in a Limited or Anthology Series category at the age of 15.

Meanwhile, back in May Graham teased that a follow-up could still be a "possibility", telling Variety: "If we were to go again, would I like it to go again? With a different story completely? Yes."

Adolescence is streaming on Netflix.
