Adolescence star Owen Cooper has made history at this year's Primetime Emmy awards nominations.
The 15-year-old is the youngest actor ever to be nominated in the outstanding supporting actor in a limited or anthology series category for his role as 13-year-old murder suspect Jamie.
Cooper is nominated alongside his Adolescence co-star Ashley Walters, as well as Javier Bardem (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story), Bill Camp (Presumed Innocent), Rob Delaney (Dying for Sex), and Peter Sarsgaard (Presumed Innocent).
Adolescence has also picked up a limited or anthology series nomination, with Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, and Christine Tremarco all receiving individual acting nominations.
Speaking about his nomination to Deadline, Cooper said: "It’s crazy. It’s been the best year of my life. Now it’s over a little bit, I’m going back to a bit of normality."

Adolescence received critical acclaim and was a huge hit for Netflix, meaning there's been plenty of questions about a potential follow-up.
Speaking in May, Graham, who co-wrote the series alongside Jack Thorne, spoke about the direction a follow-up could take.
"It still is a possibility… If we were to go again, would I like it to go again? With a different story completely? Yes," he shared.
Explaining why the series wasn't from the perspective of the victim's family, Graham added: "If we were a conventional drama, you would look at it from Katie’s perspective and we’d see the aftermath of Katie’s family.
"But I felt like we’d have seen that. We’ve seen that many a time. We haven’t really seen this side."
Adolescence is streaming on Netflix.
