The upcoming series tells the story of dad Simon (James Nesbitt), whose world is turned upside down when his eldest daughter (Ellie de Lange) runs away from home.

"His search for his daughter will take him into a dangerous underworld, revealing deep secrets that could tear his family apart forever," teases the synopsis.

Filming is currently under way in Manchester, and Jones has been spotted in character as Elena Ravenscroft, wearing a bright yellow raincoat, jeans and big square-frame glasses.

What to Read Next

The upcoming eight-part series, based on Coben’s 2019 novel, also stars Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch and Jon Pointing. Danny Brocklehurst is once again serving as the screenwriter.

Previously teasing what fans can expect from the show, Coben said: "Run Away is about family — about what we will do to keep our family intact, what secrets we keep within our family, and what secrets we keep as a family.

"Every time you walk past the house, there’s a whole universe that goes on behind that door and none of us have a clue what it is."

He also had high praised for Nesbitt, who has starred in previous Coben adaptations Stay Close and Missing You, describing him as "natural and authentic at all times".

"He’s an empathetic actor in the sense that he feels, and then you feel for him," the author added.

Run Away marks one of the latest collaborations between Netflix and Coben, with previous shows including Safe, The Stranger, Fool Me Once and Missing You, while other upcoming shows include Caught and I Will Find You.

Run Away has no release date yet.
