Harlan Coben has teased the possibility of working with Michelle Keegan on another future project following the runaway success of Netflix's Fool Me Once.

It's no secret that the best-selling author, whose TV adaptations have become unmissable streaming events, has a habit of working with actors across numerous series. Richard Armitage, for example, has starred in three so far (The Stranger, Stay Close and, most recently, Fool Me Once) – with another, Missing You, on the way.

During an appearance at the National Television Awards 2024, Harlan Coben was quizzed on whether a reunion with Michelle could be on the cards for another of his shows.

"If we could get Michelle, we'd love to get Michelle back," he teased.

Coben also confirmed that he keeps in touch with the star and reflected on why she's such a draw for audiences.

"Danny [Brocklehurst] worked with her on Brassic," Coben noted. "But I think what Michelle has, besides tremendous talent and all the other stuff, is a genuine authenticity."

"I think people, the audience loves her, people want to follow her life, because they sense that there's a kindness and a gentleness," he continued. "And that's really her, she's truly authentic."

The show boss then went on to recall that she came to film "with a smile" every day, as well as "a kind word for every person on the set".

He added: "So it's genuine. I think audiences sense that, which I think is why she's such a star."

Keegan's next screen project will be the return of Brassic, with season six of the Sky comedy arriving on September 26.

The popular Northern-set show – which also stars Joe Gilgun – has also been trending on Netflix recently, after the first four seasons were added to the streaming platform in August.
