The Michelle Keegan-fronted series Brassic has been added to Netflix, as of today (August 22).

Set in the fictional northern town of Hawley, the show centres on Vinnie O'Neill (This Is England's Joe Gilgun) and his friends as they veer into petty crime and various schemes in order to keep afloat.

The popular comedy-drama, created by Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst, has become Sky's most successful comedy in recent years, having first launched in 2019 with a six-episode season. Brassic has a number of prestigious award nominations to its name, and in 2023 it won Best Comedy Drama Series at the RTS Programme Awards.

Brassic sees Michelle Keegan – who stars as the feisty Erin Croft – once again teaming with Danny Brocklehurst, who is also the creative behind the BBC's Ten Pound Poms (which has a season two on the way, starring Keegan). Brocklehurst was also the writer of Harlan Coben's most recent adaptation, Fool Me Once, which stormed into the prestigious chart of Netflix's most-watched series ever.

Across the show's run, the extensive Brassic cast has also included Damian Molony, who plays Vinnie's best friend Dylan, Ryan Oliver Sampson, Aaron Heffernan, Parth Thakerar, Bronagh Gallagher, Joanna Higson and Dominic West.
