Honest Thief, the action-packed thriller starring Liam Neeson, has become the most-watched film on Netflix in the UK and Ireland – just one day after it was added to the streamer.
Released in 2020, the movie, which holds a 41% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, has been hailed as "a solid B-movie thriller" that "delivers exactly what you expect" by The Hollywood Reporter.
Echoing this sentiment, RogerEbert.COM described the film as "perfectly serviceable and utterly forgettable", while praising Neeson as "solid and reliable at the centre, as always".
Empire added: "The second half falls into familiar action tropes, but Honest Thief has some twists and turns, sly humour and a refreshing feel for its characters that raises them beyond genre types."
Directed and co-written by Mark Williams, the movie follows Tom Dolan (Neeson), a former US Marine-turned-thief, who has become known as the "In-and-Out Bandit".

After falling for Annie Wilkins (Kate Walsh), a graduate student working in a storage unit, Dolan decides to hand himself in, as well as the money he stole, so he can finally stop lying to Wilkins.
Unfortunately for Tom, however, his well-intentioned plan goes to ruins after corrupt FBI agents John Nivens (Jai Courtney) and Ramon Hall (Anthony Ramos) decide to take the stolen money for themselves, while framing Dolan for murder.
Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan and Peacemaker's Robert Patrick are also among the cast.

Revealing what attracted him to the project, Neeson previously told Collider: "I've been very fortunate to have been in love two or three times in my life, and it's incredibly powerful and life-changing. That's what attracted me.
"Here's this couple – Kate Walsh and myself – who are not in their 20s or 30s. He calls the police inspector to say he wants to hand himself in.
"He's done this and he wants us to come clean through the power of love for this woman. I know it can be such a cliché, but that's what I loved about it."
Meanwhile, Neeson is set to appear as Lt. Frank Drebin Jr in the new action-comedy film The Naked Gun, which is due for release on August 1. Watch a trailer for the reboot here.
