While fans are eagerly waiting for Harlan Coben's next Netflix series Missing You to arrive on the streaming service, the show boss is keeping tight-lipped about its exact release date – although he has teased that it should be coming soon.

Speaking to Digital Spy at the National Television Awards, Coben said that he "can't confirm [the] release date" but did go on to say that "it's fairly soon..."

The upcoming series is based on another of his best-selling novels, and once again boasts a star-studded cast – including Richard Armitage, who has now been involved in four Harlan Coben adaptations, and who Coben branded as his "lucky charm".

Known for his twisty-turny plots, Missing You centres on a detective called Kat Donovan, whose fiancé Josh went missing 11 years prior. But, while swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face again – and her world suddenly explodes.

"It's a wonderful cast and crew and I can't wait," Coben explained. "It's only five episodes, so you'll be able to watch it in one day."

Teasing what viewers can expect from Missing You, Harlan Coben added: "I think it may be my most gripping, and the ending will not only surprise you. In fact, I recently re-watched it, I was completely fooled by the ending – and I wrote it."

"But I think you'll genuinely be moved," he added. "Tell me if you shed a tear at the last episode of Missing You."

The Fool Me Once boss then clarified that it's "not tear-jerking" but that "it's going to move you..."
