Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street has revealed that Corey might not be going away for good after new evidence came to light over Seb Franklin's death.
Corey Brent was finally caught and charged by the police in the dramatic Bonfire Night (November 5) double-bill.
Viewers already know that the young thug was responsible for the death of Seb Franklin earlier in the year, but after a lengthy investigation, lack of evidence meant that Corey walked free while Kelly has been sitting in prison.
In tonight's (November 8) first episode, Imran Habeeb received a call while leaving the café telling him that Corey pleaded guilty. While that meant there wouldn't be another trial, it wasn't all good news.

As Abi Franklin approached Imran, making sure she heard right that Corey had finally admitted his crime, she was left disappointed when she found out that the killer might not actually spend life in prison.
The lawyer explained that the details of the sentence will be up to the judge and, while Corey will be served with a life sentence, the minimum number of years he will have to spend in prison will be influenced by his age and his confession and it could be as low as 14 years.
For Kelly Neelan, however, this was great news. As Imran had already previously filed an appeal on her conviction and considering Corey took full responsibility for the murder and added that Kelly actually tried to stop him from delivering the fatal blow, the judge decided to quash her conviction and have her released, effective immediately.

As she walked free, Kelly expressed the desire to return to live with Imran and Toyah Battersby, but Child Protective Services explained that their current foster daughter Elsie is only suitable to live in a home where she is the only child.
This meant that the pair were left hoping they wouldn't have to choose between the two vulnerable girls they're looking after.
Toyah also previously told Imran that their relationship would be over as soon as Elsie found a more permanent home. Will these latest developments impact their decision to stay together as a family?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30pm on ITV.
