Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has revealed his future as Sean Tully, confirming he's recently signed a new contract with the long-running ITV soap.

Antony, who joined the show back in 2003, confirmed the news that he'll be staying on the cobbles for the foreseeable future, 18 years after making his Weatherfield debut.

"I have just signed a new contract," the actor told Daily Star. "I've always said that if they're happy for me to be there, then I'm happy to be there. If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Admitting that he feels "very lucky" to be working on Corrie, Antony added: "Nowadays, some work is thin on the ground. I am very lucky to be in a job."

While Sean Tully will be staying put on Corrie, the ITV soap recently bid farewell to the nasty Corey Brent in a surprise exit storyline that sparked praise from the cast.
