Coronation Street's Nina Lucas and Kelly Neelan found themselves remembering things about the attack that led to Seb Franklin's death in tonight's episode, which confirm that Corey Brent was to blame.

In the first instalment of this evening's double bill (Monday, August 30), Seb's mother Abi (Sally Carman) paid a visit to Roy's Rolls to insist Nina (Mollie Gallagher) tell the judge that Kelly and Corey were the ones who killed Seb.

Noting how hazy her memory surrounding the event is, Nina then argued that she couldn't condemn them when she couldn't fully recall whether they were actually involved.

As she talked things through with Abi, however, Nina started to get jumbled flashbacks about that awful night, including Seb (Harry Visinoni) handing her a heart ring – that had set him back "one whole pound" earlier that day – and Kelly (Millie Gibson) slapping her round the face.

Desperate to work out what really happened, Nina took Abi, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) back to the scene of the crime – and was hit by the realisation that Corey (Maximus Evans) and his mates chased her and Seb down the street.

First though, in an attempt to hide from the thugs, the couple hid behind a van, where Seb told Nina that he was "in it for the long haul" and they shared a kiss. The sweet moment was interrupted when the gang spotted them, pursued them and, eventually, knocked them to the ground.

Elsewhere, Corey told his lawyer Sabeen Habeeb (Avita Jay) that Kelly was the one who struck Seb, suggesting that she kicked him in the back. "She was like a proper banshee," he said, as he swore on his family's life that he was telling the truth.

Nina's flashbacks confirmed Corey's account, as she remembered running off when Seb fell and tripping on the pavement. Then, "I saw Seb being kicked and kicked and kicked."

"You saw who did it?!" Abi exclaimed. "Who?"

"Corey," Nina replied, after a scene depicted him beating Seb while Kelly tries to pull him away.

In the second instalment, the flashbacks were shown from Kelly's perspective, as her solicitor, Imran (Charlie de Melo), asks her to talk him through the events. She insists she begged Corey to stop attacking Seb but he didn't listen, and when Kelly tried to figure out whether Seb is alive or dead, Corey ran off. Kelly later ran off too when she saw Seb was still breathing.

That same night, Corey caught up with Kelly and ordered her to deny everything if the police ever come a-knocking. Then, he disposed of his bloody clothes by throwing them in the lake.

Nina's last memory saw a bloodied Seb crawling towards her, having called the ambulance that ultimately saved her life. He managed to tell her he loved her before passing out himself. With all this new information, will Kelly be exonerated when it comes to the murder charge?
