Love Island fans have rallied behind Ellie after Finley was summoned to a date with a new bombshell. This Thursday's (9 July) episode of the ITV2 dating series saw Elicia and Ethan enter the Villa.
Upon their arrival, the pair invited six Islanders to join them for a first date. While Ethan decided to explore his connections with Jasmine, Priya and Martha, Elicia was keen to get to know Finley, Tommy and Lorenzo.
While Lorenzo and Tommy appeared receptive to Elicia, Finley seemed particularly interested in her and even confessed that she was his type. Despite already being coupled up with Ellie, Finley decided to remain open to the bond.
The newest development left viewers furious. Many predicted another shocking split ahead for Ellie and called out Finley for his wandering eye.

Another handful of viewers encouraged Ellie to move on and suggested new bombshell Ethan as a potential love interest. Elsewhere, many were disappointed to see Ellie struggling to find a committed match.

Finley was eventually introduced to the Islanders as he initially explored a connection with Yasmin before partnering up with Ellie. Love Island fans were eager to see the relationship evolve and even believed in its potential to bring Ellie and Finley to victory.

As another love triangle slowly takes shape, Finley and Ellie shared a charged conversation on the terrace. While he argued that his interest in Elicia was completely innocent, Ellie tearfully considered the idea of leaving the Villa altogether.
Another connection could be jeopardised by Elicia's arrival. While she took a liking to Finley, she also shared a flirty chat with Lorenzo during their first date - and he's made it clear he was just as interested in getting to know her.
This was despite Lorenzo already being partnered up with Julia, who was far from impressed when he shared the details of his first date with Elicia. Still, a first look at this Friday's episode has teased that Ellie and Finley could be reaching an impasse.
