Netflix has renewed the gameshow Million Dollar Secret.

Hosted by Guardians of the Galaxy and Shaun of the Dead actor Peter Serafinowicz, the reality TV competition premiered back in March.

The show follows 12 contestants tasked with working out who among them has secretly already been given the million dollar prize money. There are daily tasks, as well as regular eliminations decided by the group, and if they catch a millionaire, someone else becomes one.

The show was commonly compared to The Traitors, as well as the 2000s reality show The Mole, which Netflix revived for two seasons in 2022 and 2024.

Fans are a bit divided about the renewal of Million Dollar Secret, with one viewer calling it "the most confusing game show I have ever watched", with another saying: "Dunno if it makes sense".

One fan called it a "great show" but lamented that "the ending with switching the boxes was [too] obvious" and they felt it needs "a hard test at the end".

"Thank you. S1 was amazing," another viewer said, while a third wrote: "Nice, it was fun, Peter was a great host and the right person won the money!!!".

Someone even asked if they could be a contestant on the second season, publicly admitting that they are "a great liar".

Meanwhile, the cast for the celebrity version of The Traitors UK has finally been confirmed, with plenty of famous faces taking part.

Million Dollar Secret season 1 is available to stream on Netflix. Season 2 doesn't have a release window at the moment.
