A new Netflix thriller series with an incredible A-list cast is finally available to stream.

Zero Day follows former president George Mullen (Robert De Niro) who is pulled out of retirement following a deadly cyber attack and tasked with finding the culprits.

During his investigation, he discovers a "vast web of lies and conspiracies" which goes right to the heart of the government.

The star-studded show also features Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, and Dan Stevens.

The series has finally arrived on Netflix today with early reviews hailing Zero Day "truly nail-biting".

In their review, Empire wrote that the show's "biggest stumble is in its pacing", however "once the truth starts unravelling, the show kicks back up a notch, and the last two instalments are truly nail-biting".

The Guardian said Zero Day was an "astonishing amount of fun", adding that it is "firmly grounded by De Niro and his portrait of a good man struggling to do the right thing in a world that offers corruption at worst, and only compromise at best."

The Independent, on the other hand, thought Zero Day had "limited capacity to surprise, limited interest in provoking, [and] limited ability to entertain".

Opening up on his experience making the series, Hollywood icon De Niro said it was like "doing three features at once".

"I likened it to being in the Channel between France and England and looking back. I can’t see France any more and I can’t see England," he told The Guardian.

"So I’ve got to keep swimming, staying up with the scenes, the endless information, the thrust of the story. Stay ahead of it, stay on it. So it was a whole other kind of experience for me."

Zero Day is available to stream now on Netflix.
