The Love Island 2024 voting percentages have been revealed by ITV, showing that Mimii and Josh were the runaway winners of the series.

The figures, shared on Love Island's Instagram page, reveal that it wasn't a particularly close call, with the winning couple scooping up an impressive 41% of the vote.

Nicole and Ciaran came second in the final, and it's now been revealed that they were quite a way behind Mimii and Josh with 35% of the share of the vote.

There was an even bigger gap when it came to third place, which went to Matilda and Sean, who received 14%, and fourth place went to Ayo and Jess who received 10% of the public vote.

Mimii and Josh made history when they were crowned in Love Island's live final, which aired on Monday night (July 29), becoming the first Black couple to win the show since its reboot in 2015.

When asked about making the record books through their win, Mimii described being "shocked" at the result while also noting it was "nice".

"Hopefully it will set pace for more diverse representation," she continued. "It's overwhelming, but in the best possible way."

"I definitely feel proud," Josh followed up. "To be able to add a little bit to help balance the scales, if it means greater diverse representation, that is great. We are just happy to write history."

Meanwhile the winning pair have also opened up about what's in store for the future of their relationship, with Mimii saying she was looking forward to "exploring different places" with Josh, as well as saying that there would be "lots of travel" on the cards for them.

Following the final, Joey Essex has shared an update about his romance with Jessy Potts. The pair confirmed that they are in their "exclusive era", after narrowly missing out on a place in the ITV2 show's final.
