Love Island fans have become convinced that Julia and Lorenzo's connection is headed towards the rocks after tensions simmered in the Villa. This Wednesday's (8 July) instalment saw the Islanders take part in a new challenge, Couple Goals, where they answered a series of questions about each other's connections.
Things appeared to take a turn when the couples were asked to point out which pairing would least likely work on the outside. Julia and Lorenzo picked Jasmine and Kavan after the couple's dramatic Casa Amor row - but Julia quickly admitted she'd considered another couple.
Pressed by Mica, Julia revealed she'd initially thought of Lola and Sean, prompting her to question the authenticity of their connection. Exasperated, Sean made it clear he didn't take kindly to Julia's comment, while Priya urged her to leave the couple alone.
The atmosphere appeared to turn icy as Julia defended herself. But over on social media, viewers were sent into a frenzy as they shared their thoughts, with some predicting another split was imminent.

A handful of fans pointed out that Lorenzo did not defend Julia during the tense exchange, particularly due to his own close friendship with Sean and Lola. More viewers then encouraged Julia to end her bond with Lorenzo.

Elsewhere, other viewers went a step further by suggesting that Julia's ongoing row with Lola and Sean, which began after she tried to flirt with the latter despite him being closed off, could be the end of the road for her and Lorenzo.
Prior to coupling up with Julia in Casa Amor, Lorenzo was partnered with Yasmin after a rocky relationship with Jasmine. While the chemistry between Julia and Lorenzo was initially clear, the pair have remained somewhat distant from one another since their return to the main Villa.
In earlier episodes, Lorenzo had also pleaded with Julia to be more diplomatic after she and Lola shared a tense exchange. Both women have butted heads ever since, leaving viewers divided.

Although some understand Lola's defensiveness around Julia, others have pleaded for Lola to be booted out of the Villa. Another viewer even branded Lola's behaviour "passive-agressive".
Things took another complicated turn when Sean decided to have a private conversation with Julia in a bid to smooth things over. Lola was completely against the move, and pleaded with Sean not to engage with her.
Meanwhile, Lorenzo whisked Julia away to the terrace, where the pair agreed they remained focused on their relationship, regardless of conflicts.
Love Island continues this Thursday (9 July) from 9pm on ITV2.
