After months of speculation, it has been reported that Tom Hardy will continue to appear in MobLand ahead of a potential third season. The actor was said to have left the series following a spat with producers, but that appears to have been resolved.
It was reported in May that Hardy had been fired from the Paramount+ crime drama amid on-set tensions while filming the second season, with the actor alleged to have changed dialogue late in the day while also arriving on set late.
It was subsequently reported that news of any firing was premature, with producers said to be having talks with the actor about a potential return. And in a new update from Deadline, it seems that these discussions have gone swimmingly.

As per the outlet, Hardy and the production team met in London to hash out any lingering issues, with the actor agreeing to reprise his role as Harry Da Souza for a proposed third season.
The third season is yet to be greenlit by Paramount+, though a renewal order is expected to be a near-certainty given the success of the first season. Digital Spy has contacted Paramount+, 101 Studios and Hardy's representatives for comment.

The British series, which is created by Ronan Bennett, sees Hardy portray a fixer for the Harrigan crime family, with the character having to navigate the criminal underworld in order to prevent a full-on turf war.
The actor, who also serves as an executive producer on the crime drama, leads a stacked cast, with Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Joanne Froggatt, Paddy Considine, Lara Pulver and Toby Jones all appearing in supporting roles.
Mirren, who portrays Maeve Harrigan, previously backed Hardy in an interview with Variety, saying: "I love Tom, I think he's the most amazing actor. Different actors have different processes. I've learnt over the years that some people get to things faster.

"As long as what’s on the screen is fantastic, I'm totally chilled with however someone gets there. Tom is a very special person. I think he's absolutely remarkable. My support of him is genuine and heartfelt."
"When you have powerful artistic people working together, the creative process is challenging. People will get their knickers in a twist, as we say. We will go forward, absolutely, and it will be even better," she added.
