Lazarus, the psychological thriller that's the latest in a long line of Harlan Coben shows, is now available to stream in full in the UK and beyond, as all episodes have now dropped on Prime Video.

The official synopsis for the 6-episode series reads: "Lazarus follows a man who returns home after his father's death and begins to have disturbing experiences that can't be explained.

"He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father's death and his sister's murder 25 years ago..."

In terms of cast, we've got The Hunger Games and Daisy Jones & The Six's Sam Claflin in the lead, with The Iron Lady's Alexandra Roach and Bill Nighy among the supporting actors.

Interestingly, this one isn't an adaptation of one of the prolific author's novels, but something original for TV. Coben himself explained that as it was coming together, he realised that TV was the right medium for the story he was telling.

What to Read Next

"I thought, 'I could write this as a novel, but I'm seeing it as a TV series'. It's a little more of a ghost story, very visual," he said.

The author also teased that "family dynamics and twisty mysteries are going to come together in an emotional explosion," with plenty of red herrings and "so many elements to it that kind of keep you wanting more".

At the time of writing, there aren't many critic reviews of Lazarus, although we expect there to be more now the show is out.

The current score on Rotten Tomatoes is 42% from just seven reviews, putting it below Missing You, which received a 50% score when it released earlier this year.

Obviously Lazarus' score could change and change quite a bit, but this could be a sign that Coben shows are losing their lustre with critics. The important question is, will Lazarus be a hit with fans?

All episodes of Lazarus are available to stream now on Prime Video.
