If you're wading through the likes of Netflix, BBC iPlayer and other streaming services and are stuck on what movies to watch, then fret no more. Below, we've put together a list with the best new additions to streaming this week.
Among the highlights are a "delightful" British drama featuring Daniel Mays – or if action is more your tempo, then an all-out Tom Cruise adrenaline rush has also landed.

Best movie new to Netflix this week
Emma: This more-recent take on Jane Austen's classic story of romantic meddling features Anya Taylor-Joy as the titular matchmaker.
The plot follows Emma Woodhouse's attempts to fool around with her friends' love lives, though she will realise that love has been there for her too all along.
Director Autumn de Wilde's adaptation of the novel features an impressive cast, including Callum Turner, Josh O'Connor, Bill Nighy, Mia Goth, Johnny Flynn and Miranda Hart – to name a few – and was called "a witty, candy-coloured and charmingly unassuming big-screen adaptation" by Outtake Mag.

Marvellous: This 2014 TV movie biopic tells the "inspirational and incredible true story" of Neil Baldwin, who was appointed kit man for Stoke City Football Club and became an honourary graduate of Keele University, not allowing his learning disabilities to hold him back.
Toby Jones plays the central role alongside Tony Curran, Gemma Jones, Greg McHugh and Nicholas Gleaves, while there are also cameos from the likes of former footballers Gary Lineker and Lou Macari.
The movie was called "a gem of a film" by one user on Rotten Tomatoes, another labelling it "surprising, funny, moving, and great fun".

Challengers: Zendaya, Josh O'Connor and Mike Faist lead this 2024 indie gem, which follows a love triangle between three tennis stars.
Hailing from director Luca Guadagnino, who has also helmed Queer and Call Me By Your Name, Challengers features a number of now-iconic scenes, including a particularly sexy moment involving a churro.
The film was also a big critical hit, earning 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, the Chicago Sun-Times calling it "sweat-drenched and emotionally bruising".

Mission: Impossible – Fallout: If you're looking for another adrenaline rush, then Tom Cruise's 2018 Mission: Impossible outing should do the trick.
Rated at a near-perfect 98% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, the site's consensus says it sets "yet another high mark for insane set pieces in a franchise full of them".
The sequel sees Ethan Hunt and the team try to stop a nuclear attack by agent-turned-terrorist Solomon Lane (Sean Harris). Henry Cavill also joins the franchise as August Walker.

Best movie new to Channel 4 this week
Fisherman’s Friends: This "utterly delightful" movie (via North Shore Movies) tells the true story of the titular group of Cornish fishermen, who achieved a Top 10 album of sea shanties after being signed to a major label.
The story focuses on music executive Danny (played by Daniel Mays) as he travels to Cornwall and is challenged to sign the group. However, while the band are reluctant, Danny's outlook on life changes after spending time with the local community.
Alongside Mays, the 2019 comedy also features James Purefoy, David Hayman, Dave Johns, Sam Swainsbury and Tuppence Middleton, and later spawned a 2022 sequel that continues the story of the group in the lead up to a performance at Glastonbury.
