Netflix viewers are already "hooked" on the new true crime series Love Con Revenge.

The six-episode series, which premiered on the streamer today, follows former fraud victim Cecilie Fjellhøy as she teams up with private investigator Brianne Joseph to investigate romance scams.

Fjellhøy, who first appeared on screens in the 2022 documentary The Tinder Swindler, joins Joseph to track down con artists who use fake personas online to trick people into falling in love with them in order to steal money.

Creative director James O’Reilly described the show as a "jaw-dropping" investigation into the "emotional and financial toll" that romance fraud takes on its victims (via Tudum).

"This is a truly modern crime that is exploding in the United States and around the world," he continued. "It’s been incredible to follow Cecilie and Brianne as they investigate these cases — to bring justice to the victims, and hold the perpetrators to account who’ve gotten away with this for far too long."

"Love Con Revenge is a way for me to use what I’ve learned to help others heal, reclaim their voices, their power and their lives."
