We've just had a first-look glimpse at some of the main stars and characters for Netflix's I Will Find You, another upcoming Harlan Coben series – and there's lots for fans to get excited about.

Unlike Lazarus, which is coming soon to Prime Video and will be the author's first-ever original screenplay written specifically for television, I Will Find You is an adaptation of another of Coben's novels – only this one was previously branded "one of his best yet" by the Sunday Express (via Amazon).

I Will Find You centres on a father who is serving a life sentence for the murder of his young son — a crime that he didn't commit.

But then, in a suitably Coben-worthy plot twist, he gets a visit from his ex-wife's sister, who appears to have evidence that his son may be alive after all.

What to Read Next

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Coben knew he wanted to adapt I Will Find You for the screen before he had even finished writing the book. "I find that super compelling to write about," he said of its storyline and themes, during an interview with the publication.

"I write about hope. Hope is the most important thing to me in these stories, because hope can put wings on your heart and let it fly in the air. Hope can also take your heart and crush it like it's a f**king eggshell."

Sam Worthington (Avatar, Under the Banner of Heaven) will star as David Burroughs, the main character, while a number of other stars have also been confirmed to be part of the cast – including Britt Lower (Severance), Erin Richards (The Crown), Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us), Logan Browning (Dear White People) and Jonathan Tucker (Westworld).

Worthington described how his character is searching for "many truths", before adding: "And in the melodramatic world of Harlan, he's going to have to face many twists to get to it."

Showrunner and co-creator Robert Hull, who is adapting the book on which the show is based and working with Coben on the project, has previously described the assembled cast as "nothing short of phenomenal".

"Any one of these incredible artists would be a dream on their own," he added to Netflix's Tudum. "The fact we've somehow drawn them all in is a testament to the power of Harlan's storytelling and the incredible support of everyone at Netflix. I cannot wait to watch them bring these roles to life."

I Will Find You is coming soon to Netflix, no release date has been confirmed yet.
