A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, the "twisty" whodunit billed as a "delicious binge", has jumped up the streaming chart following its release on Netflix.
The mystery thriller series, based on Holly Jackson's 2019 novel of the same name, follows Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers), an A-Level student who investigates a cold case murder after believing the initial conviction to be incorrect.
Co-starring Anna Maxwell Martin and Mathew Baynton in supporting roles, the six-part series originally aired on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer in July 2024, with all instalments now being available to view on Netflix after it was added to the streamer on Tuesday (1 July).
The series has proved to be a success with viewers, becoming the ninth most-viewed series in the UK on the streaming service on Wednesday. It fared even better on Thursday, jumping up to #7 (via FlixPatrol).
The series has also been a hit with critics, currently having an approval rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes from 40 reviews. The Mary Sue branded the show as a "delicious binge", while Pajiba praised the "twisty, turny" narrative as well as the "charismatic" cast.

Following its success with both critics and audiences, the murder mystery was renewed for a second season back in November, with the upcoming six-part season set to based on Jackson's 2020 novel Good Girl, Bad Blood.
"After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip's world has been transformed by her actions, and not always for the better," reads the logline. "Pip is determined to fix the fallout - and stay away from any more investigations.
"But as Max Hastings’s trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the 'good girl' she once was."

"I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m writing on the show!" said Jackson. "We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my AGGGTM family!"
"I'm delighted to be back in Little Kilton with Pip and friends for season two, and to have the opportunity to bring another of Holly's gripping stories to the screen," added series creator Poppy Cogan, who will co-write the season alongside Jackson.
