Unseen, the "compelling" South African mystery series, has quietly released its second season on Netflix.
The crime thriller, created by Daryne Joshua and Travis Taute, depicts the story of Zenzile Mwale (Gail Mabalane), an unassuming house cleaner who commits a string of murders as she searches for her missing husband.
Following its debut in 2023, the second season of the series has now been added onto Netflix, with all six episodes – in addition to the first six instalments from the first season – all being available on the streaming service.
The second season sees Zenzile "forced" to trust the people who incarcerated her after a new tragedy strikes, with the logline pondering if her "newfound desire for freedom" can finally "put her grief to rest".
Based on Turkish series Fatma, the logline for the first season of Unseen reads (via Tudum): "At first glance, Unseen heroine Zenzile Mwale is an unassuming house cleaner. But in the opening moments of the series we learn that Zenzi, timid as she may seem, is a murderer.
