Emmerdale has rubbished claims of an in-house crisis following the departure of several cast members.
A number of cast members have left the ITV soap over the course of the year with the likes of Ryan Hawley, Sally Dexter and Sandra Marvin all confirming their exits over the last few months, while Andrew Scarborough is tipped to be the latest actor to depart the Dales.
But, amid speculation the show is experiencing a cast crisis, an Emmerdale spokesperson has denied such claims and reaffirmed that all the drama on the soap is "on screen" only.
"Departures are meat and drink to any soap," an Emmerdale spokeswoman told The Sun.
"Without them there wouldn't be any drama. And on Emmerdale there's certainly tons of drama, all of it on screen!
"Storylines are gripping, ratings are great and we're winning award after award. Long may it continue."

Emmerdale, of course, won Best Soap at the National Television Awards for the second year running earlier this year, and the soap also earned the top prize at the TV Choice Awards in September too.
So, things don't seem to be going too badly on the Dales – and there is still plenty of drama to come, with the soap planning an "explosive" Christmas for some big Emmerdale names too.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
