Emmerdale star Ryan Hawley has praised the soap's touching final scenes for his character Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle.
In Friday's (November 1) emotional episode, Robert was told that he was going to be moved to a prison on the Isle of Wight, leaving him concerned that his husband Aaron and the rest of his family would no longer be able to visit him.
However, when Aaron came to see Robert in prison, the latter couldn't bring himself to mention the move, and ended up handing his wedding ring back to Aaron.
Little did Aaron know that would be the last time he saw his husband as Robert will put a moratorium on receiving any visitors.
Now, the soap has released a behind-the-scenes clip, in which Hawley praises those heartbreaking final moments between Robert and Aaron.
"In the prison, when Robert is ultimately saying goodbye to Aaron, I thought they were really quite touching scenes," he said. "They were very well written.
