Emmerdale star Kevin Mathurin has shared a sweet tribute to a number of his co-stars on social media. And among them is show newcomer Casey Al-Shaqsy.
The latter star recently debuted on the soap as Serena Sugden, who has arrived in the village seeking answers on serial killer relative John Sugden.

Kevin, who plays Charles Anderson, has now posted a lovely tribute to Casey and others on Instagram with a reel of photos, saying of the Serena star: "I've done nothing but laugh since we've met. So glad you're here @mz_alshaqsyofficial."
The star said it was "always a pleasure working with the legend that is" Joshua Richards (Bear Wolf), reflecting that "over the last year" his character's emotional storyline "has been epic".

Of Manpreet Sharma star Rebecca Sarker, he added: "I miss my partner in crime," and that "it was nice spending the day working and catching up". Kevin said he enjoyed "hanging out with the Sharmas", also singling out Chris Bisson, who plays Jai.
Meanwhile, Serena's storyline is set to take a step up next week as Robert is knocked unconscious by a runaway vehicle, only for Serena to step in to save the day – leaving Aaron suspicious.

"Robert's injuries pour more suspicion on Serena," our Emmerdale source teased. "The last long-lost Sugden who turned up had a habit of leaving people for dead then saving their life.
"Aaron's terrified of history repeating itself, especially as Serena's so obsessed with John."
As mysterious Serena keeps digging for answers, Moira worries the truth over evil John's demise will come to light. However, Kev Townsend puts a spanner in the works when he realises where he recognises Serena from.
"Serena's secret changes the whole dynamic at Emmerdale Farm," our source added. "We can't reveal what she's hiding, but what happens next could tear the family apart. Aaron's determined not to let someone with an ulterior motive infiltrate their lives, but will Robert listen to his fiancé's fears?"
