Coronation Street's Daisy Midgeley turns her attention to the Rovers Return in Monday's episode (December 18) after her latest rejection from Daniel Osbourne.

Daisy steps up her mission to save the iconic pub as she vows to fight on without financial help from Daniel.

The former barmaid was dumped last week as Daniel realised that he couldn't forgive her for cheating on him with Ryan Connor.

In Monday's episode, Daisy realises that there's no chance of Daniel giving her another chance anytime soon. Needing a change in focus, she tries to help Jenny Connor get The Rovers back.

Jenny and Carla Barlow have both been trying to convince Audrey Roberts to hand over the journal that her serial killer son Stephen Reid was using before he died.

The pair believe that the scribblings could hold clues to Stephen's online passwords, giving them a chance to get the missing Underworld money back.

Daisy urges Jenny not to give up – claiming that even though the money belonged to Carla, she deserves a cut for everything she went through with Stephen. She suggests that Jenny could use the money to re-open The Rovers.

When Daisy visits the Bistro and interrupts a family meeting for the Platts, she spots that their coats are all hanging up.

Daisy forms a plan and steals David's keys, letting herself into Number 8 and searching desperately for the journal.

Audrey arrives back unexpectedly, leaving Daisy panicking that she'll be caught red-handed. Will she be rumbled?

Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy, recently teased: "She's having to regroup and refocus. These men [Daniel and Ryan] at one time or another have been her sole focus for the last two-three years on the street.

"What's interesting is they're using the breakup to bring the dark side of her character back out and she's going to lean into her morally corrupt tendencies.

"She feels she has nothing left to lose, so for lack of a better statement: The Bitch Is Back."
