Coronation Street's Michael Bailey is hauled in for police questioning next week after a misunderstanding sparks suspicion over his connection to Stephen Reid.
Michael is baffled when a large wad of cash appears in his work bag – but before he can find out why, DS Swain also spots it and demands answers.
Last week, Stephen tricked Michael into disclosing his access code for the Underworld computer system. Stephen used this to transfer £250,000 from the factory account to his own.
Although Carla Barlow reported this fraudulent behaviour to the police, she may never get the money back as Michael willingly gave up his access code to Stephen.

Next week, two Bailey family stories cross over as Michael's father Ed places £1,000 on a horse. The bet pays off, but Ed hides the winnings in a bag in the hallway as he doesn't want his family to know that he's gambling again.
Unaware of the bag's contents, Michael grabs it and heads off to Underworld in the hope of getting his job back after being fired.
Michael gets more than he bargained for when DS Swain arrives at the factory and insists on questioning him about the incident with Stephen.
As Michael has nothing to hide, he's able to answer all of DS Swain's questions. Just when it looks like the matter may be resolved for now, Michael opens his bag and finds Ed's cash inside.

Swain immediately notices the money and demands to know where it came from.
With Michael unable to provide an explanation, Swain accuses him of working with Stephen to defraud Underworld and takes him down to the police station.
Ed is horrified to see his son being taken away in a police car, knowing that it's all his fault. Will he come clean with the truth?
