Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd has turned himself back into David Platt as he shaved off his impressive lockdown beard.
Jack has been growing his facial hair ever since the UK lockdown began, but with filming on the soap resuming he's grabbed the clippers and said goodbye to the beard.
He couldn't resist one final video honouring the facial hair though, as he shared a clip on Instagram of himself reciting a dramatic speech from 300, pretending to be a Spartan.

His former co-star Ryan Thomas, who played Jason Grimshaw, joked: "Get David back to work" while Charlie Condou, who played Marcus Dent in the soap, commented: "You look like one of those heads that are the same when you turn them upside down".
Jack's girlfriend Hanni Treweek also joked that the actor was "getting too attached to this beard".

However he later took the plunge and shaved almost the whole thing off, sharing several clips of himself on his Instagram Stories as he battled through the long hair.
He then showed off the finished result as he displayed a much smaller, neater beard to become David once again, although he added that the hair on his head will have to wait for now.
"That's it, gone," he said. "Can't do owt about the hair so when you see these scenes July, August time please don't think 'What is he doing with his hair?' I can't do anything to my hair so that's my hair."
The actor has been keeping us all thoroughly entertained during lockdown with his recreations of classic movie scenes from the likes of Love Actually and Risky Business but he's now returning to the dramas of David Platt's world.

David is currently dealing with the return of his wife Shona (Julia Goulding), who after being shot over Christmas cannot remember her husband at all. She recently agreed to move back to Weatherfield, accepting an offer to live with her old friend Roy Cropper, although she doesn't remember ever living there.
David has been hoping that Shona's new proximity is a sign that their relationship can still be saved, and in scenes airing next week he's delighted when Shona invites him over to the flat.
Everything is going well during David's visit until Shona suddenly leans in for a kiss, shocking David. How will he respond?
Coronation Street currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
