Chris Hemsworth's third Extraction movie has finally been confirmed at Netflix. Additionally, the actor is set to return alongside a few fellow stars.
According to Deadline, Hemsworth has closed a deal to reprise his role of mercenary Tyler Rake after appearing in the 2020 original and its 2023 sequel.
The site also reports that Idris Elba and Golshifteh Farahani, who play the unnamed stranger and Nik Khan respectively, will be back, while Sam Hargrave returns to the director's chair after helming the previous movies.

However, Invasion's David Weil will write the screenplay, taking over from Joe Russo who penned the first two films.
Extraction 3 was confirmed to be in the works after the release of the last movie three years ago, though updates have been few and far between since then.

Last month, it was reported that filming would begin in June and run through to October. While Deadline reports that plot details are currently under wraps, it was previously claimed that Rake will head Down Under.
Filming will reportedly take place in Sydney after the second movie was originally due to head there – though was forced to relocate to Prague due to lockdown restrictions at the time – while Extraction 3 will also apparently shoot partly in Europe.
Speaking last year about the third movie, Hemsworth told The Hollywood Reporter: "My inner Tyler Rake is feeling a certain amount of protest and needs to be released, for sure. That’s something we are working on.
"We, the creative team, are putting together some different ideas and creative ventures of where we could take the whole place and the [third] film. But the intention is to certainly make another one. I don't know exactly when, but yeah, it'll be coming."
Meanwhile, the Extraction franchise is expanding into TV with new series Mercenary, which will star Lupin's Omar Sy, Game of Thrones' Natalie Dormer and The Predator's Boyd Holbrook.
Extraction and its sequel are available to stream on Netflix. Extraction 3 and the upcoming Mercenary: An Extraction Series do not yet have a release date.
