Brenda Blethyn has a "shocking" new British mystery drama on the way with Jason Watkins that you'll want to watch out for.
Dragonfly focuses on a woman who starts to look out for an elderly neighbour after being appalled at the state of her care, and the two form an unlikely friendship despite their differences.
"Disgusted with the state of care that her elderly neighbor Elsie is receiving, Colleen offers to help for free," the synopsis teases (via Tribeca Film Festival).
"Over tea and through trying moments, the pair become trusted confidants despite their differences. But Colleen’s intentions may not be exactly as they seem. As suspicions grow, a shocking act triggers a violent chain reaction that threatens to irreparably alter the lives of both women."
Vera's Blethyn takes on the role of elderly neighbour Elsie, while The Regime's Andrea Riseborough plays Colleen and The Crown's Watkins plays Elsie's middle-aged son John.

The cast also includes The Franchise's Sandra Huggett as Mary, Silent Witness' Lolly Jones as Jane, Malpractice's Elliot Benn, and Annie Eves.
Dragonfly comes from writer and director Paul Andrew Williams, who has previously helmed the likes of London to Brighton, and TV shows Archie and The Walk-In.
Williams is also on board as an executive producer, while How to Have Sex's Marie-Elena Dyche and Bull's Dominic Tighe are credited as producers.
Last year, Blethyn opened up about landing the role in the film after finishing Vera, recalling at the British Film Institute: "I was home, I hadn't even unpacked my bag, and my agent called me and said, 'Oh, you've been offered a film.' I said, 'I don't want to do a film. I haven't unpacked yet.'

"She said, 'Oh, it is with Andrea Riseborough.' I said, 'Oh, is it?' And she said, 'And it starts next week because somebody had dropped out and it's written and directed by Paul Andrew Williams.'
"I said, 'Oh, well, I better have a little read of it just to... but no, I'm not doing it, but I'll have a read of it.' And I liked it, so I did it."
Dragonfly has already drawn a warm reception, with Riseborough and Blethyn jointly winning the Best Performance in an International Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Festival, where the film premiered earlier this month.
"For an audience, there is nothing as exciting as watching actors bravely and fully immerse themselves in characters who leave us filled with both empathy and dread - and so for their daring and electrifying turns, we are thrilled to present Best Performance in and International Film to Andrea Riseborough and Brenda Blethyn," the jury said.

Critics have also been fans too – the movie currently sits at 91% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes – with The Film Stage suggesting it was "equal-parts tender and shocking" and one that turns "horror tropes on their head".
The Guardian added that Dragonfly was "a stark, fierce, wonderfully acted film" in a four-star review, further describing it as "a haunted, social-realist drama with elements of Mike Leigh but also moments of thriller and even horror".
So when can fans expect to see Dragonfly? Well, unfortunately there's no release info at present, though hopefully we could expect it by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
Dragonfly is yet to confirm a release date.
