Netflix has dropped some first-look images of the hotly-anticipated sequel to The Old Guard, seeing Charlize Theron's Andy and her band of immortal mercenaries back for another mission.
Released in 2020, the first film from director Gina Prince-Bythewood adapted the graphic novel of the same name by Greg Rucka, who also wrote the script.
Met with positive reviews, the movie starred Theron as Andromache aka Andy of Scythia, the leader of a group of undying mercenaries using their regenerating powers to help people.
Now, a sequel directed by Victoria Mahoney is on the way, with Theron and most of the OG cast returning alongside some new additions.
The newly released images sees the gang together for a new outing, with Andy, Nicky (Luca Marinelli), Joe (Marwan Kenzari) and Nile (KiKi Layne) enlisting the help of newcomer Tuah (Henry Golding).

Additional pictures see Andy brandishing her labrys and walking with James Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) along the streets of Korea.
"There's something for everyone in this movie: Fans who loved the first film, fans who love the original graphic novels – and brand-new fans who are looking for insane action, grounded and relatable characters, gorgeous locations, and a global cast of superstars," Theron told Netflix about the sequel.

"We're going to meet some brand-new characters," she teased, hinting not just at Golding but also at Uma Thurman who's joined the ensemble in an undisclosed role.
"Quynh is back and her story continues, and we're all excited to have Uma Thurman and Henry Golding join us as two key new players in the Old Guard universe. Andy and her warriors are back with a renewed sense of purpose.
"The stakes are even higher now that Andy is mortal and can die – but that certainly won't keep her out of the action."
The Old Guard 2 is released on Netflix on 2 July.
