The "unexpectedly terrific" crime drama Ballard has reached the no.1 spot on Prime Video, just days after its release.
The spin-off to Bosch and Bosch: Legacy landed on the streamer on 9 July and follows the story of Renée Ballard (Maggie Q), a "determined" yet "empathetic" detective who is in charge of a cold-case division at the LAPD.
Ballard calls upon friend Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) as she uncovers a conspiracy within the LAPD and begins the hunt for the truth, while encountering "personal traumas" and "life-threatening" dangers.
All 10 episodes of the series are available to stream now, with the show taking the top slot in the UK streaming charts ahead of much-loved soap Neighbours and Heads of State, which stars John Cena and Idris Elba.
The series was created by Michael Alaimo and Michael Connelly, the latter of whom wrote the novels the series is based on.
