Ballard, the perfectly-rated crime drama described as "high-quality" and "bingeable", is now streaming in the UK.

The series, a spin-off to Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, follows the journey of Renée Ballard (Maggie Q), a "determined" yet "empathetic" detective who is in charge of a cold-case division at the LAPD.

In tackling the city's "most challenging long-forgotten" crimes, Ballard calls upon friend Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) as she uncovers a conspiracy within the LAPD. In the hunt for truth, the detective has to navigate "personal traumas" and "life-threatening" dangers.

Co-starring John Carroll Lynch and Courtney Taylor in supporting roles, Ballard is now available to stream in the UK and Ireland on Prime Video, with all 10 instalments being added to the streamer today (9 July).

Created by Michael Alaimo and Michael Connelly, the latter of whom wrote the novels in which the series is based on, Ballard has been unanimously praised by critics as it currently boasts a perfect approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes from six reviews.

Pajiba called it an "unexpectedly terrific" series that "improved" upon its predecessor, while FandomWire wrote: "Maggie Q delivers a performance unlike any she’s given before - thoughtful, vulnerable and empathetic [while offering] plenty of introspection."
