Jude Law and Jason Bateman plays brothers in upcoming limited series Black Rabbit, set to air on Netflix in September.

Created by Zach Baylin and first announced in 2022, the New York City-set miniseries sees Jake (Law) and Vince Friedkin (Bateman) reunite in circumstances that threaten to upend the family's business.

The show is named after the high-end restaurant Jake owns in NYC. Set to become the city's newest hotspot, The Black Rabbit is thrown into chaos when Vince returns unexpectedly, bringing a fresh host of problems with him.

Black Rabbit centres on the two siblings' relationship and how their reunion will reopen old wounds.

"It's a very interesting world," Law — who also executive produces alongside Bateman, Baylin and Kate Susman told Tudum.

"It's really about these brothers who love each other but don't match — one's a screw-up, and the other is much more buttoned up," he said.

"Everybody can relate to that. Everybody's either got a sibling, or a friendship where you love being with one another, but it's kind of dangerous; where that person usually gets you in trouble, but they're really exciting to be around."

It seems that Vince means trouble for the sophisticated Jake, and the first-look images appear to confirm this. One of the images released by Netflix sees the duo running through the streets of NYC as Vince holds onto a bag that may or may not contain some money.

Rounding out the cast are Cleopatra Coleman, Bodies' Amaka Okafor, Slow Horses' Sopẹ́ Dìrísù, The Gilded Age's Morgan Spector, Succession's Dagmara Dominczyk and CODA star Troy Kotsur.

Black Rabbit also lines up a behind-the-scenes Ozark reunion for Bateman. Laura Linney, who played Wendy on the acclaimed crime drama, returns to Netflix to direct the third and fourth episodes of the upcoming series.

Black Rabbit starts streaming on Netflix on 18 September.
