Netflix's upcoming thriller limited series set in Yosemite National Park has released a trailer and confirmed a summer release date.
Hailed as a "character-driven mystery", Untamed stars Eric Bana in the role of National Parks Service agent Kyle Turner and Sam Neill (Peaky Blinders, Jurassic Park) as Yosemite's chief park ranger Paul Souter.
The show is set to premiere on 17 July, with all six one-hour episodes dropping on the streamer at once.
According to the synopsis, the series' mystery revolves around a "brutal death" that may be linked to Kyle's own past and unveils the dark secrets within the park.
Neill's Souter is described as "a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend to Turner".

Completing the cast of Untamed are Rosemarie DeWitt as Jill Bodwin, Alex's ex-wife with who he maintains a good relationship, Lily Santiago as ex LA cop-turned-ranger Naya Vasquez and Wilson Bethel as wildlife management officer Shane Maguire.
Elsewhere on streaming platforms, Paramount+'s 1980s-set Satanic panic series Hysteria! has earned comparisons to Netflix's Stranger Things.
The comedy horror has a star-studded cast, telling the story of a down-on-their-luck high school metal band who decide to rebrand themselves as Satan worshippers. Things get complicated when a series of mysterious disappearances and occurrences plague their sleepy town, and they're immediately deemed responsible.
The series stars Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell as the chief of police Ben Dandridge, Chef's Emjay Anthony as protagonist Dylan Campbell, Modern Family's Julie Bowen as Dylan's mum Linda, Uncharted's Nolan North as Dylan's dad Gene and Pitch Perfect's Anna Camp as religious fanatic Tracy Whitehead.
Premiered last October in the US, the series is now available to stream in the UK for the first time.
Untamed will premiere on Netflix on 17 July and Hysteria! is streaming now on Paramount+.
