The Celebrity Traitors star Jonathan Ross has teased missing scenes from the show that contain even more "Alan Carr gold". The comedian has been a highlight of the season so far, with his hilarious antics as a Traitor making him a fan favourite.

However, fellow Traitor Ross has revealed that there are even more great moments that ended up on the "cutting room floor" of the BBC show.

"I think they should release a director’s Alan Carr special," he said on the Reel Talk with Honey & Jonathan Ross podcast (via Metro). "Because there are so many funny things he did and said, which I know already should have been the first episode, should have been the second episode."

He went on to tease: "There’s something that happens later on that I know which should be in but isn’t in. And it’s like, there’s this Alan Carr gold waiting out there to be spun into them. So maybe the BBC will consider, ask Alan, maybe they could put Alan’s Unseen Highlights together."

The presenter also noted that with 19 contestants and the many antics, it's "almost impossible for them to condense", before praising the "incredible job" that the "lovely people who worked on it" did.

It comes after murdered player Tom Daley recently told Digital Spy that fans only get to see "the most important parts" of the show, explaining: "There's so many conversations that happen throughout the day that can't be included, as it's not like a Big Brother livestream, but there's not much you don't get to see."

Ross made a lucky escape on the latest episode of the show last week, despite getting some heat from the Faithfuls, with his double bluff murder of Ruth Codd appearing to pay off. In the end, Faithful Clare Balding was banished from the roundtable.

In other news, Miriam Margolyes has revealed that she turned down a spot on The Celebrity Traitors, explaining that she would never appear on the series.

"I was offered this job," she said at the Cheltenham Festival after being asked if she would do it. "No. Just recently and I can’t think of anything I’d rather less do. No, I’m not into that. I’ve never watched it, I don’t intend to watch it."

The Celebrity Traitors airs Wednesday and Thursday nights at 9pm, and streams on BBC iPlayer. Companion show The Traitors Uncloaked follows straight afterwards on BBC Two.
