The Celebrity Traitors spoilers follow.

Jonathan Ross managed to escape banishment on The Celebrity Traitors once again as the Faithfuls banished one of their own, with fans banging their head against the wall as to how the group could miss the obvious target. The presenter has been a Traitor alongside Alan Carr and Cat Burns from the outset, but has come under fire recently. In order to deflect, Jonathan and co opted to murder Ruth Codd during Thursday's (16 October) episode as part of a double bluff.

It paid dividends, with several people remarking that killing Ruth would be a foolish move on Jonathan's part given their previous history in the game. Joe Marler saw through this, and he was the only one to vote for Jonathan in the banishment round table.

During the challenge, Jonathan relinquished an opportunity to gain a shield and instead let Stephen Fry have it, reasoning that the Faithfuls would look past it. On the other side, Cat grabbed the second shield, giving a distinct advantage to the Traitors.

In the meeting after Clare Balding was banished, Jonathan, Alan and Cat proposed their next three names for murder - Charlotte Church, David Olusoga and Kate Garraway. They all agreed that Jonathan was vulnerable, but hoped the next kill would "rock the boat".
