Murder mysteries are all the rage at the moment, with everything from Death Valley to Ludwig keeping viewers hooked.
Luckily, Netflix has another big one on the way (apart from The Thursday Murder Club) that takes on one of the titans of the genre, Agatha Christie.
The new Seven Dials Mystery series is based on the Queen of Crime's 1929 novel of the same name, and is adapted by Broadchurch and former Doctor Who boss Chris Chibnall, with Persuasion's Mia McKenna-Bruce playing the central young sleuth Bundle.
Chibnall is also executive producing alongside The Crown's Suzanne Mackie and Andy Stebbing, Good Omens' Chris Sussman, and The Tourist's Chris Sweeney – the latter of whom directs – while Supacell's Joanna Crow produces.
The "funny and suspenseful" three-part show has also been produced by Chibnall's company Imaginary Friends and Mackie's Orchid Pictures, while there is also involvement from Christie's family, with her great-grandson James Prichard credited as an executive producer too. He is on board through company Agatha Christie Limited, which has managed the late author's rights for 70 years.

"Bundle Brent is one of my great-grandmother’s raft of interesting, humorous, sharp, young female characters," Prichard said. "To see her brought to life through the words of Chris Chibnall and this production with Orchid Pictures and Netflix is a dream come true. I think viewers will love this world that we have created, and hope for more."
Mackie added: "I am excited to be bringing The Seven Dials Mystery to life, and to be introducing a new generation of iconic Christie characters to the screen. It has been a joy to work with Chris Chibnall in creating this bold, authored, and ambitious vision for the series.
"Together with Chris Sussman and Agatha Christie Limited and, under the masterful direction of Chris Sweeney, we are thrilled to embark on this creative journey. I could not think of a more exciting first project for Orchid Pictures, or a more perfect home for this story than Netflix."
McKenna-Bruce said in her own statement: "Chris Chibnall’s scripts are brilliant, and I am thrilled to be part of this new interpretation of the iconic Agatha Christie’s storytelling."
Filming for the show took place last year, though a release date for the series is yet to be confirmed.
