The Resident, the "thrilling" medical drama starring Matt Czuchry and Bruce Greenwood, is trending now on a UK streamer.
The American series focuses on the lives of the various employees at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital, depicting their duties and personal battles as they strive to keep the people of Atlanta in good health.
After premiering in 2018, The Resident ran for six seasons and 107 episodes before its cancellation in 2023, but the series is still proving to be a success in the UK as it currently sits at #2 on 5's streaming service.
Billed as "thrilling" by the streamer in their description, the series boasts a stacked ensemble cast, with Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Shaunette Renée Wilson and Jessica Lucas all appearing across the six seasons.
In addition to strong viewership, the series has garnered positive reviews from audiences, with Rotten Tomatoes reporting an overall approval rating of 75%. This is similar to its user rating on IMDb, which currently stands at 7.8 out of 10 from 41,000 reviews.

While The Resident has found a new lease of life via streaming, fellow medical drama Pulse recently had its future cut short, with Netflix confirming earlier this month that it wouldn't be renewing the series for a second season.
