BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty has hit back at viewers who body-shamed her on social media.
Appearing on Gabby Logan's podcast The Mid-Point, the presenter opened up out the double standards women face compared to men when it comes to criticism of their appearance.
"The number of times I’ve had comments like, 'Oh you shouldn’t be wearing that dress, you’ve got a bit of a belly'. People are quite happy to email or comment on social media," Munchetty said.
While the presenter said she's "very happy" with her body, she pointed out how her male colleague Charlie Stayt doesn't receive the same response from viewers.
"I don’t think Charlie’s ever had a comment about his belly," she said.

In the interview, Munchetty brought up Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha's 2017 experiment, in which she wore the same top several times after Robert Rinder said he had repeatedly worn the same outfit on TV without anyone noticing.
As expected, viewers were quick to pick up on the outfit repeats, and Munchetty said that if either of her male either co-presenters did the same it would also go unnoticed.
Saying she does get "a lot of nice comments" from viewers too, Munchetty added: "To go back to age, women are expected to portray a certain aesthetic.
"When you dress for news, you have to be mindful that what you wear cannot be distracting because the story is important."

On her own outfit choices, Logan said she didn't want her clothing to be anything more than a "passing thought" for viewers.
"Women are more highly criticised and noticed," Munchetty added.
Away from presenting the news, Munchetty recently released a book called It's Probably Nothing, which explores the healthcare obstacles women face when trying to get diagnosed and treated.
