Such Brave Girls, the hit BBC show with a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes, has released first-look images ahead of its second season.
The sitcom, written by and starring Kat Sadler, follows sisters Josie (Sadler) and Billie (Lizzie Davidson) Johnson and their mother Deb (Louise Brealey) as they risk everything for a "single scrap of love and adoration".
Following a critically acclaimed first season back in 2023, the BBC has confirmed that the "girls are back" for another instalment on BBC Three later this year, with the broadcaster releasing three first-look images of the upcoming season.
While a release date is yet to be announced, the synopsis teases that the central trio will continue their "impossible quest for a better life" and for somebody to "tell them they're fit", with the series exploring love in "all its ugly chaos".
The first season, which was directed by The Inbetweeners star Simon Bird, drew critical acclaim, with the show boasting a perfect approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes from 20 reviews, with the site's consensus describing it as "painfully funny".

You can read a selection of reviews below:
The Hollywood Reporter
"Such Brave Girls is a hilarious slice of family dysfunction, focusing on a trio of women whose only connection is their trauma and, you know, shared DNA."
The Daily Telegraph
"But over the course of a few episodes it grew on me a bit, because Sadler – who has said the series was inspired by her own breakdown – sends up this self-absorption."
The Guardian
"Such Brave Girls is indeed brave – singular, fresh, scabrous and unflinching – but still – or, rather, as a result – hilarious."
The Age
"Several recent comedies have tackled the topic of mental health, often earning the moniker 'sadcoms'. But none have approached the issue in such a bleak, unsentimental - but hilarious - manner as this BAFTA-nominated, pitch-black comedy."

"Such Brave Girls is dark, messy, and full of precisely the kind of pathos that keeps you laughing as you wince."
Observer
"Each woman is a desperate mess, and though it’s all quite dark, it’s delightful to muck around in the gutter with them."
Such Brave Girls returns on BBC Three, BBC iPlayer and Hulu later this year.
