Joanne Froggatt and Maxine Peake's true-crime drama See No Evil: The Moors Murders is now on Netflix.

First aired on ITV in 2006, the two-part serial features Downton Abbey actor Froggatt and Three Girls actor Peake leading a cast that includes Mission: Impossible's Sean Harris, Coronation Street's Connor McIntyre, and Doctor Who's Susan Twist.

As the title implies, See No Evil is based on the murders committed around Manchester by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley in the 1960s.

Harris and Peake play the infamous serial killer couple, while Froggatt plays Hindley's sister Maureen Smith, the viewpoint character. Relatives of the victims and detectives involved with the case were interviewed in a lengthy research process.

Due to See No Evil's age, there aren't really any critic reviews online, but fans have been sharing their opinions over the years.

On Letterboxd, the show has a 3.4/5 weighted average based on over 500 ratings.

One positive review reads: "Crucially the drama avoids morbid sensationalism by specifically focusing on Smith and his wife Maureen, Myra's sister, and the subsequent police investigation, rather than the two killers themselves...

"Both Maxine Peake and Sean Harris dominate proceedings with a deeply disturbing aura as Hindley and Brady, with Matthew McNulty and Joanne Froggatt equally convincing."
