Peaky Blinders has announced an unexpected franchise crossover, with the series set to enter the world of video games.

Three years on from its conclusion, and with a feature film continuation on the way, the BBC series has collaborated with Wargaming for their game, World of Tanks, with the latest battle pass being themed on the period drama.

Scheduled to release on March 20, the newest pass in the game will boast a slew of rewards tied-in with the BBC series, with players able to recruit several members of the Shelby family as well as customise their vehicle with Peaky Blinders-themed decorations.

The trailer, which can be viewed above, showcases some of the rewards on offer, with five members of the Shelby family - Tommy, Arthur, John, Ada and Michael - all being seen in the clip, with the latter two being available to recruit via a special bundle.

“To truly own the battlefield, players can customise their vehicles with new Peaky Blinders-themed decals and inscriptions. And a specially composed soundtrack inspired by the show will transport them to the streets of Birmingham before they head into battle,” reads the synopsis.

All five characters come complete with voice acting as “the unmistakable swagger and streetwise grit straight from the show” is “brought to the battlefield”, though fans will have to act fast as the pass only runs until March 31.

Whilst gamers can look forward to the crossover, the franchise will soon dip its toe into the world of film as The Immortal Man, a continuation of the series, is due to premiere on Netflix and the big screen in the near future.

“I just wanted to do it,” said writer-creator Steven Knight of the upcoming film. “I mean, part of it is, and this is not obviously the prime motivation, although I could pretend it is: I really want the Peaky fans who have been a big part of this, the way they found it.”

Peaky Blinders is available to stream on BBC iPlayer and Netflix. A movie is now in production.
