The first official photo from Jodie Whittaker's upcoming British drama Toxic Town has been released.
The four-part Netflix series will premiere on February 27, and sees Doctor Who star Whittaker appear as Susan McIntyre, one of the mothers affected by the Corby toxic waste scandal.
A new image from the show features Whittaker in character – she is part of a cast that also includes the likes of Downton Abbey's Brendan Coyle and The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood.

Described as one of the biggest environmental scandals in the UK, the case saw mothers in Corby fighting for justice after 19 children were born with birth defects as a result of substandard steelworks cleanups.
In 2009, the High Court found Corby Borough Council liable in negligence, public nuisance and a breach of statutory duty. The landmark case was the first in the world to establish a link between atmospheric toxic waste and birth defects.

A year after the judgment, the council confirmed it had dropped plans to appeal the decision. It admitted to "mistakes in its clean-up of the former British Steel site years ago" and agreed a financial settlement with the families.
Toxic Town also features The Diplomat's Rory Kinnear, Trainspotting star Robert Carlyle, Bridgerton actor Claudia Jessie, and Showtrial's Joe Dempsie and Michael Socha.

The series focuses on will focus on three mothers "who took on a David and Goliath battle for justice" over a period of several years, according to its official synopsis.
"The Corby toxic waste case is one of those moments in history that is defining. It showed our ability to close our eyes and ears to the safety of our people," said Toxic Town's writer Jack Thorne.
"It also showed the remarkable way that people will fight for what's right.
"Toxic Town tells the story of these funny, brave, incredible women and the way they scrapped for their children.
"It has been a true privilege working with Annabel [Jones], Minkie [Spiro], Delyth [Scudamore] and the whole Broke & Bones family on this incredible story, and we are so grateful to Netflix for giving us the opportunity and support in telling it."
Toxic Town premieres on Thursday, February 27, streaming on Netflix.
