Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has confirmed who has stolen Lewis Barton's secret stash of drugs, with suspicion falling on the wrong individual.

Lewis, the half-brother of Ross, arrived in the Dales last month as he sought a closer connection with his long-lost family as well as information on the death of his mother, Emma.

Though at times having a fractious bond with Ross, the half-brothers have attempted to work through their differences, with the duo teaming up to secretly grow cannabis. Enlisting Mackenzie Boyd as a middle-man, the group have worked to shift their product.

Tuesday's (1 July) episode began with a prospective buyer, Ray, making his presence known as he inspected the 'crop'. Lewis, however, said that the batch would only be used for medicinal purposes, and had no interest in selling to Ray.

Ross attempted to reassure a disconsolate Lewis that he would be in charge of the product, though Mack later insisted that they needed the money to save the farm. Ross was unmoved, however, and said an alternative arrangement would need to be found.

"Lewis was counting on me – I didn't realise how much that meant until I let you ruin it," said Ross to Mack, who persistently urged him to reconsider his stance throughout the day. Though he played up Ray's reputation, Mack couldn't get through to Ross.

Despite Ross's best attempts to sort things out with Lewis, the latter elected to keep to himself following the incident. As Moira observed the awkwardness between the pair, she urged Ross to make it up to his half-brother.

She was going through her own troubles following the fine that was recently imposed on the farm, with the figure informing Robert Sugden that he likely wouldn't be receiving a pay check anytime soon.

Ross got a shock later on as he discovered that the cannabis had been stolen, with suspicion immediately falling on Mack. He explained himself to Ross, who then assumed that Lewis had taken the weed on his trip to Leeds.

Both theories were incorrect, however, as it soon became apparent that Robert had sold the drugs to Ray in a bid to cause "mayhem" on the farm. Will his theft be discovered, and what will the consequences be?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
