Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has lined up a surprising role for newcomer Lewis Barton.
Lewis first arrived in the Dales earlier this year, eager to find his estranged half-brother Ross Barton.
The pair have since had a rocky relationship, with Lewis discovering Ross' involvement in the cover up of their mother Emma's death.
Meanwhile, the brothers have also been secretly growing cannabis in a barn at Butler's Farm. However, recent episodes have seen them clashing with Mackenzie Boyd over plans to sell the weed to a drug dealer.

In scenes that will air next week, Lewis decides to redirect his energy into a new path. When he sees Nicola King struggling on her own, he offers to help out in the busy café.
Charming Lewis quickly becomes a hit with the customers and his impressive work ethic doesn't go unnoticed.
Nicola is inspired and starts to consider a new way of running the business. Could Lewis have found himself a permanent - and legal - new job?

Elsewhere, the newcomer and his accomplices will soon be dealing with a tricky situation when they discover their weed has been stolen from the barn.
Ross initially accuses Mack but later turns his suspicions on Lewis. He fears that his brother has begun selling large amounts of weed, which could get him in serious trouble.
Lewis confirms that it wasn't him, but Ross' relief is short-lived as they now have to figure out who exactly has stolen from them.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
